Yellow Code for Rainfall has been Declared for Half of Bulgaria Today

A yellow rainfall code has been announced today for 14 areas in the country today. According to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), the warning applies to Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Gabrovo, Sofia, Sofia region, Plovdiv, Smolyan, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad, Kyustendil and Pernik districts.

A National Coordination Council for Measles Has Been Established

By April 22, 463 cases of measles have been reported to the Ministry of Health, reported NOVA TV. 

A National Coordination Council for Measles Control was established by order of the Minister of Health to assist in carrying out activities to reduce the spread of the disease.

It will also perform activities related to the analysis and control of the measures taken.

Code Yellow Warning for Heavy Rain in Place for 16 Regions in Bulgaria

Yellow Code warning for heavy rain has been issued for 16 regions in Bulgaria, according to the website of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). The warning is in place for the regions of: Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Gabrovo, Sofia, Sofia - city, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv.

Emergency Sirens to Be Tested in Several Cities in Bulgaria

Today, at 13:00, the emergency system will be tested in several cities in the country, the Ministry of Interior informs.

The tests will be in Burgas, Varna, Kardzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv.

Also in Ruse, Smolyan, Sofia, Vratsa and in the 30-kilometer perimeter around the Kozloduy NPP.

 

Code Yellow For Strong Winds Declared For 16 Regions in Bulgaria

A Code Yellow warning for strong winds has been declared for 16 regions in Bulgaria, according to the strong>National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology website.

The warning is in place for the regions of Pleven, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Ruse, Targovishte, Sliven, Yambol, Razgrad, Shumen, Burgas, Varna, Dobrich and Silistra.

Anti-flu Measures Cancelled in 10 More Regions in Bulgaria

The flu epidemic and anti-epidemic measures are cancelled in 10 other regions of the country as of today. These are: Sofia city, Kyustendil, Shumen, Vidin, Pleven, Dobrich, Sliven, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo and Smolyan, except the municipality of Madan where the measures remain in place for the medical and childcare facilities.
