Bulgaria: Third-Class Roads Still Unaccessible after the Snowfall

In the aftermath of heavy snowfall, a state of emergency persists across numerous Bulgarian municipalities, with the entire Razgrad district under this measure. While the road connecting Razgrad to Targovishte is now accessible to cars, it will only open to cargo vehicles later today. However, third-class roads in Razgrad and Shumen districts remain closed, hampering travel.

Weather in Bulgaria: Orange and Yellow Codes for Heat!

The heat will be unbearable yet again.

A yellow and orange heat code has been announced throughout Bulgaria. In Silistra, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Sliven, Yambol, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad and Haskovo, an orange code for dangerous weather is in effect, where up to 40 degrees Celsius are expected in some places.

A test of the National System for Early Warning and Notification of the Population will be carried out in several locations today (April 3), including Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Vratsa, Ruse, Kardzhali, Smolyan, Pazardzhik, as well as in the settlements included in the integrated local notification systems, including in the area around the Kozloduy NPP.
