Montenegrin state broadcaster RTCG carried a statement issued by the DPS, the ruling party led by Djukanovic, that quoted Rama as saying he was "a clear pro-European choice that guarantees further stability and progress of the region."

Montenegrins to Protest Against Wave of Violence
Under the slogan "A life without fear", a protest has been scheduled for Saturday in the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica, with organizers urging people to stand up against the recent wave of mafia-like violence in the country. They say it has become "everyday life in Montenegro", and has to stop.

Montenegro Deepens Defence Industry Ties to Turkey
Montenegro is set to approve an agreement on defence industry cooperation with Turkey designed to boost defence and military relations with Ankara.
The agreement, seen by BIRN, relates to the "production and trade of defence goods and services, maintenance and logistical support".

NATO general "understands how Serbs feel about NATO"
Speaking to Filip Cukanovic after a meeting with Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin, Pavel also said he was "always satisfied after meeting with partner countries" and that "there is a plan for the future".
Montenegro backs UK in Skripal case
"Montenegro is at this moment as well with the United Kingdom and supports its efforts to defend its sovereignty and security for its citizens," the Montenegrin government said on Twitter.
Skripal and his daughter were found last week in an unconscious state on a bench in the town of Salisbury.
