Abazovic signed the agreement with Church Patriarch Porfirije on Wednesday in Podgorica, stressing that all religious communities should have equal rights.

On July 13, Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic opened the first section of the highway, seven years after the Chinese-financed project started, and drove up Montenegro's public debt to 90.85 per cent of GDP.

According to earlier media reports, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije arrived in Podgorica on this occasion.
The fundamental agreement was signed by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovi, and the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic opened the first section of the highway, seven years after the Chinese-financed project started and drove up Montenegro's public debt to 90.85 per cent of GDP.

President Rumen Radev is on an official visit to Montenegro. He was welcomed today by Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic at the presidential palace in the historic capital of Cetinje.

The Central Bank said that Russians were also the largest investors in Montenegro, after they invested 41.6 million euros in the country since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February.

After Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic on Tuesday called for negotiations about the agreement with the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Mihailo said that it must be treated the same as the Serbian Orthodox Church, the largest Orthodox community in the country.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that her Montenegrin counterpart, Dritan Abazovic, had "again drawn her attention" to the issue of the former President of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro from 2003 to 2006 who is avoiding justice in Montenegro and hiding in Serbia, but gave no details.
