Veteran Turkish actor Kadir İnanır taken to intensive care
One of Turkey's most prominent actors, Kadir İnanır, was taken to intensive care in southwestern Turkey over blood clotting in a brain vein on Nov. 20.
The 72-year old actor fell ill in the Ortaca district of Aegean Muğla province and was taken to Pamukkale University Medical Faculty Hospital in the neighboring Denizli province.

The ancient city of Iasos, a port city founded by the Argosians in the western province of Muğla's Milas district, impresses visitors as it resembles an open-air museum with its great walls, aqueducts, agora, theater, Roman-era tombstones and fishermen's market.
Archaeological excavations continue in the ancient city, which is located in the Kıyıkışlacık neighborhood.

At least 65 migrants pushed back by Greece rescued
The Turkish Coast Guard rescued a total of 65 asylum seekers off Muğla and Aydın provinces in 24 hours.
Turkish coast guard units rescued 46 irregular migrants in two different locations off the coasts of Marmaris district in the Aegean province of Muğla after they were pushed back into Turkey's territorial waters by the Greek authorities.

Microsoft founder visits top tourist attractions in Turkey’s west
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has visited Turkey's southwest, disembarking his super-luxury yacht to take a short tour of the top tourist destinations in the region.
Gates, the world's fourth-richest person, went on a tour with a private helicopter after his Cayman Islands-flagged yacht was anchored off the resort town of Kuşadası.
Byzantine church, tombs unearthed in Kaunos
A Byzantine-era church, tombs, and inscriptions have been found during excavations carried out in the ancient city of Kaunos, which was included on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2014.
The ancient city is located in the western province of Muğla's Dalyan district and on the right bank of the Dalyan Stream that connects Köyceğiz Lake to the Mediterranean Sea.
