Turkish voters head to polls in key local elections
Türkiye is gearing up for local elections that will shape the country's administrative landscape for the next five years, with more than 61 million voters expected to head to the polls on March 31.

The "Vazrazhdane" group within the Sofia Municipal Council (SMC) has disintegrated, leaving the pro-Russian party without a cohesive presence in the council.

In the capital municipal council WCC-DB, "Spasi Sofia" will have 23 municipal councilors, for GERB-SDS the mandates are 14, "BSP for Bulgaria" has 9 mandates.
"Vazrazhdane" will have 8 municipal councilors in the Sofia municipality, three each will be from "There Is Such a People" and local coalition KOD. One will be the municipal councilor from VMRO.
Today Bulgarians Vote in the Local Government Elections
Today, Bulgarians will vote in local government elections. The vote is for municipal councilors, mayors of municipalities, town halls and regions in the three largest cities - Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv. The formed sections are over 12,300.
It is Final: The Monument to the Soviet Army in Sofia will be Moved
The Sofia Municipal Council accepted the proposal to move the Monument to the Soviet Army from the center of Sofia.
With 41 votes "in favor", 13 "against" and 1 "abstention", the proposal with the report was adopted. This happened with the support of the votes of "GERB-SDS", "Democratic Bulgaria", "Patriots for Sofia" and the independent municipal councilors.

Aegean island residents against closed centers
Mayors of islands where the government plans to create new closed centers for migrants via expropriations have expressed their vehement opposition and have declined, in protest, to attend a scheduled meeting Thursday with Migration Minister Notis Mitarakis. Moreover, a protest rally will be held Thursday by residents of Lesvos island outside the Interior Ministry in Athens.

Six Senior Public Officials Investigated over Conflict of Interest
By decisions adopted at a meeting today, the Commission for Combating Corruption and Forfeiture of Illegally Acquired Property has initiated proceedings for establishing a conflict of interest with respect to six senior public officials under Art. 6 para. 1 of the anti-corruption law, said the Commission's press office quoted by Focus News Agency. These persons are:
