Lajcak: Community statute, missing persons to be main topics of May 2 meeting

BRUSSELS - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has announced that the first draft statute of a Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija and the issue of missing persons would be the main topics of a Brussels meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Pristina's PM Albin Kurti slated for May 2.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Sunday's local elections held by Pristina in four majority-Serb municipalities in the north of Kosovo-Metohija were not only an unequivocal defeat for Albin Kurti and his regime but also signalled tectonic changes in the province.

Just to recall that 1,566 Albanians and 13 Serbs took part in the special elections in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, said the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovi. Petkovi specified that in the north of Kosovska Mitrovica, two persons of Serbian nationality voted, seven in Leposavic, four in Zvean, and none in Zubin Potok.

Dacic: Community first and decisive step for implementation of EU proposal

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday Belgrade wanted the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija to be the first, the decisive and the defining step for implementation of an EU proposal on normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations.
