Eurovision tickets sold in 36 minutes
Tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest live final sold out in 36 minutes, after some fans were faced with error messages and holding screens.
Nine shows in total were available for fans to watch at Liverpool's arena, ranging from semi-final dress rehearsals, all the way through to the live grand final on 13 May. However, those trying to bag one were met with issues.

Victor Vernicos becomes Greece’s youngest-ever Eurovision contestant
Greece on Monday announced that it will be competing in this year's Eurovision contest with Victor Vernicos and his original song, "What They Say."
At the age of 16, local Instagram sensation Vernicos is the youngest-ever contestant to represent Greece at the popular singing competition.

Ray Gelato | Athens | January 27-30
"Godfather of swing" Ray Gelato will be getting pulses racing at the Half Note jazz club (halfnote.gr), with a set drawing on the golden age of the genre, in the 1950s. Tickets range from 20 to 30 euros and can be purchased at the door or in advance from viva.gr.

Brahms & Shostakovich | Athens | January 27
Up-and-coming violin soloist Danae Papamattheou-Matschke teams up with her father, the internationally renowned pianist Uwe Matschke, and cellist Kerstin Feltz to take on two towering works of the 19th and 20th century chamber music repertoire: Brahms' Piano Trio No 1 and Shostakovich's Piano Trio No 2. The show at the Athens Concert Hall (megaron.gr) starts at 8.30 p.m.

‘Carmen’ on AKM stage
One of the most staged operas in the world, 'Carmen' will be performed by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (IDOB) on Jan 19 at the Atatürk Cultural Center - Türk Telekom Opera Hall. Composed by the French composer Georges Bizet, the opera is staged by Italian director Vincenzo Grisostomi Travaglini.

Falstaff | Athens | From January 26
The Greek National Opera starts the new year with a bang, presenting its ambitious new production of Giuseppe Verdi's swan song, the comic opera "Falstaff." Inspired by Shakespeare's "Merry Wives of Windsor," it was first presented at La Scala in Milan in February 1893 and was a raging success despite some skepticism about whether the 80-year-old composer could still pull off such a coup.
