Acclaimed Albanian cellist Renato Ripo and award-wining Russian pianist Philipp Kopachevsky join forces at the Athens Concert Hall on Wednesday, April 3, for a tribute to the great Russian romantic, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, with a program that includes extracts from "The Nutcracker" in a unique transcription for solo piano by renowned contemporary pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev.

German band Rammstein blasted for concentration camp video
Jewish organizations and the Israeli government criticized German hard rock band Rammstein on March 28 for a video promoting its new single that features group members on an execution gallows dressed as concentration camp inmates.
The Greek contribution to Skopje's modern identity
I first visited Skopje in 1997 to attend a peace concert by Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. It had all the elements to become a charming city with a strong modernist identity, expanding on the reconstruction that was carried out with the help of Greek architect Constantinos Doxiadis after the devastating earthquake in 1963.

British ‘sound wizard’ at Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival
The Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival, which will be held between April 25 and June 1 this year, has added one more name to its rich program. British musician Alan Parsons will take the stage at the festival on May 31 with his never-forgotten songs, pushing the boundaries of music.

Deep Purple Again in Bulgaria
Deep Purple, one of the most iconic groups in musical history, is returning to Bulgaria for a new concert on December 7 in Arena Armeec.
Two years ago, they launched the The Long Goodbye tour, which stated they were finishing their concert activity. Because of the huge interest of millions of fans around the world, Deep Purple will again visit some countries, including Bulgaria.
