Nadezhda Neynsky

The Council of Minister has approved the candidature of Nadezhda Neynsky for the post of Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation for the period of 1 July 2021 - 30 June 2024, press service of the Council of Ministers reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Işık expressed appreciation for Bulgaria's support for Turkey's full membership in the EU, Daily Sabah reported.

Bulgarian and Turkish gas operators Bulgartransgaz and Botaş will hold meetings as soon as possible to speed up progress for the Turkey-Bulgaria Gas Interconnection Project "ITB," Nadezhda Neynsky, Bulgaria's ambassador to Turkey, told state-run Anadolu Agency on Sept. 25.

According to information from the operational headquarters, under the direction of Ambassador Nadezhda Neynsky, Bulgarian citizen detained in Turkey M. J. A.  has been released from detention. She was banned from leaving the country. She is accused of "propaganda of terrorist organizations", reported BGNES.

The authorities released one of the two Bulgarian women detained in the Turkish resort of Didim.

The older woman, whose initials are VP-A, is released.

Scandals and tension marked the beginning of the election day in Turkey. In front of the consulate in Bursa there is lines of people from the early  morning and the process of voting is going very slowly - for about an hour had voted 15 people.

Former Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky has said one of her main goals as incoming Ambassador to Turkey will be to look for bilateral solutions on how to bolster control at the common borders.

Neynsky is to take over Sofia's mission in Ankara "very soon", though no date has yet been specified.

The former Foreign Minister and future ambassador to Turkey Nadezhda Neynsky said that she is to seek new basis of bilateral relations and will champion the Bulgarian national interests.

Neynsky did not want to make concrete statements as she was still to hold many conversations before her departure to Turkey, she said in an interview for private bTV station on Friday.

The government proposed the former Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky to be appointed as the Bulgarian ambassador to Turkey.

The decision was taken at the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, which took place on Wednesday, the government's press service informs.

The nomination will be forwarded to President Rosen Plevneliev, who has to issue a decree on her appointment.
