Be?ikta?, Fener looking for early qualification in Europa League

The Spor Toto Super League's leading duo, Be?ikta? and Fenerbahçe, return to continental duty on Nov. 26, with both looking to secure spots for the round of 32 in the Europa League.  

Fenerbahçe, which suffered a 3-1 reverse in the opening game of Group A against surprised packet Molde in Istanbul, visits the Norwegian side with the aim of exacting a modicum of revenge.

Fenerbahçe knocked out of Champions League competition

Turkish club Fenerbahçe?s star-studded squad will not be playing in the Champions League this season after losing a third qualifying ground tie against Shakthar Donetsk. 

Goals from Dario Srna, Oleksandr Gladkiy and Alex Teixeira gave Shakthar a 3-0 victory at home Aug. 5, in the return game of a goalless draw in Istanbul, booking the Ukrainians a place in the playoff leg.

Germany's Gomez signs with Be?ikta? to join world stars in Turkish combat

Fiorentina?s German international Mario Gomez has become the latest world star to set up shop in the Turkish Super League after signing a two-year loan deal with Istanbul?s Be?ikta?.

The German international?s arrival follows that of other well-known players in the league, including Ricardo Quaresma, Robin Van Persie, Nani, Lukas Podolski and Sameul Eto?o.
