NBA megastar Dončić signs supermax contract extension with the Mavs
Ljubljana – Slovenian NBA star player Luka Dončić has signed a five-year, US$207 million supermax rookie extension with the Dallas Mavericks in what is the largest guaranteed rookie extension in NBA history and the largest sports contract ever in Slovenia. Dončić told the STA on Tuesday he will continue to play for the national basketball team.

NBA star Dončić to land $202m contract extension with Mavericks, US media report
Ljubljana – Slovenian NBA star Luka Dončić is to sign a five-year, $202 million contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks after the Tokyo Olympic Games, a number of US media have reported. Meanwhile, another Slovenian NBA player Goran Dragić is moving from the Miami Heat to the Toronto Raptors, but might be even re-routed to the Mavericks in the final move.

Slovenia qualify for the Olympic basketball tournament
Kaunas – The Slovenian national basketball team will compete in the Tokyo Olympics after NBA star Luka Dončič led the team to a 96:85 win against Lithuania in the final of a qualifying tournament on Sunday.
Dončič scored a triple double with 31 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. Vlatko Čančar added 18 points and Jaka Blažič 16.
