Ramadan is all about fasting, but also about feasting. Abstaining from eating during the day, from dawn to sunset, not even having a sip of water, the reward is often lavish tables with the best and the best of all the food available. Some of the most special dishes are prepared during Ramadan, there are always regional favorites for this holy month when the focus is always on food.

Bulgarian Red Cross to Distribute Food in Sofia

The Sofia organisation of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) has started distributing food in Sofia, said the BRC press office. The food products will be distributed under the Operational Programme for Food and/or Basic Material Assistance under the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived, Operation 2 "Provision of Individual Food Packages 2017 - 2019".

Souvlaki price to increase by 10-15 percent

Souvlaki, the traditional Greek fast food popular among locals and visitors alike, will soon suffer a 10-15 percent price hike, kebab shop owners are warning.
