The incident occurred in the Çamburnu tunnel on Oct. 23, when Steffene Emil Snppene was struck by the vehicle while traveling from Trabzon to the nearby city of Rize.

Tragedy: Two teenagers drowned on Ada Ciganlija
Previously, it was reported to the police around 17:30 that a large number of high school graduates entered the lake on Ada Ciganlija, and that two people did not swim out.
Police patrols, as well as the Diving Unit of the Gendarmerie, were immediately sent to the scene and began the search.

At Least 108 Police Officers were Injured in France during May Day Protests
At least 108 policemen and gendarmerie were injured yesterday in France, of which twenty in Paris, during clashes in the course of protests against the pension reform, reported APP and BTA, referring to the French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.
291 people were arrested across the country, 90 of them in Paris.

Employee of the Bulgarian Interior Ministry was Detained for Trafficking Migrants
Within a few hours today, on the Trakia highway, officers from the Directorate and the Zonal Gendarmerie Unit detained two motor vehicle drivers and a total of 56 illegally staying foreigners. One of the drivers is an employee of the Ministry of the Interior.
Country promotes first female general
Özlem Yılmaz, a soldier serving in the Turkish army for nearly three decades, has been promoted to be a brigadier general, becoming the first female general in Türkiye.
"The Republic of Türkiye has given the rank of general to a female soldier for the first time since women started serving in the Turkish army as commissioned officers in 1955," local media has reported.
