Satisfaction and realism about Erdogan
The message coming out of Athens after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said via Kathimerini on Thursday that he wants good relations with Greece was that Athens' intentions after the elections to hold discussions with Ankara and any president of Turkey remain sincere, without, however, cultivating naive expectations that Turkey's foreign policy will change in the long run.

MİT ‘neutralizes’ senior PKK member in Iraq
The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has neutralized a local leader of the PKK in an operation in Iraq's Duhok governorate.
Eyvaz Beyaz, code-named Zerdeşt Karadeniz, was wanted by Interpol with a red notice and was in the gray category of the Defense Ministry's wanted list.

ISIL leader committed suicide before capture by Turkish forces
Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, the so-called leader of the ISIL terror group, detonated his suicide vest as he realized that he was about to be captured by Turkish intelligence forces, according to security sources.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on late April 30 announced that the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) "neutralized" al-Qurashi in Syria.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkish intelligence forces killed Islamic State leader Abu Hussein al-Qurashi in Syria.
"This individual was neutralized as part of an operation by the Turkish national intelligence organization in Syria yesterday," Erdogan said in an interview with TRT Turk broadcaster.

Menendez reiterates opposition to sale of F-16 fighters to Turkey
The chairperson of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations has reiterated his opposition to the sale of F-16 fighters to Turkey, saying "Turkey has not done enough to be rewarded in this way."
"I continue to be against the sale of F-16s," Senator Bob Menendez told state broadcaster ERT, adding that the Erdogan government needs to stop its belligerent behavior towards Greece.
Greek defense minister to visit Türkiye
Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos will visit Türkiye upon the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Hulusi Akar.
Akar and Panagiotopoulos will visit the quake-hit southern Hatay province on April 4. The two ministers will also have a bilateral meeting.
