Bucharest, Aug 3 /Agerpres/ - President Klaus Iohannis on Saturday will attend the National Council of the National Liberal Party (PNL), political sources confirmed for AGERPRES on Friday.

The Liberals are requesting the Minister of Justice to send to the Superior Council of Magistrates (CSM) the candidacies that fulfill the legal conditions for the position of chief prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) and to allow CSM to make the decision concerning the nomination in this case, said on Thursday, National Liberal Party (PNL) Chairman Ludovic Orban.

The Chamber of Deputies' plenary started on Wednesday the debates on the amendments of the Criminal Code, after the Opposition's request to remove them from the agenda and send them back to the Special Committee. The majority vote decided to reject the two proposals.
