The travel restrictions for domestic and international flights landing in Greece will be extended until 5 April, as part of the Greek government's efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country, GTP reported on Sunday.
Health Ministry considers options for reopening of restaurants
In the face of an outcry from business owners, the Health Ministry is looking at possible solutions that could pave the way for restaurants and cafes to reopen.
As part of a raft of restrictions the government imposed to stem the spread of COVID-19, restaurants and cafes were closed in November 2020.
Domestic air travel restrictions extended until Jan 11
The directive allowing only essential domestic flights between all airports in the country has been extended until Monday, with the aim of protecting passengers and the public from Covid-19.
According to the relevant announcement, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said on Thursday the extension will last until 6 a.m. on Monday.
France's Macron tests positive for COVID-19
French President Emmanuel Macron has tested positive for COVID-19, the French Presidency said on Dec. 17.
"The President of the Republic has been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 today," his office said in a statement.
"This diagnosis was made following a PCR test performed at the onset of the first symptoms."

Lockdown
Germany entered a complete lockdown at midnight, and France is replacing the previous lockdown with curfew.
The measures will last in Germany until January 10, and during that period, only essential stores such as supermarkets and pharmacies, as well as banks, will work.
