Head of National Revenue Agency Office in Lovech has been Fired
The director of NRA-Lovech Viktor Stoychev has been fired. The Revenue Agency press office said on August 6 that the dismissal was because of unauthorized access to the NRA information systems, reports BNT.
Stoychev was also a municipal councilor from the GERB group in the current term in office, from the civic quota, but left due to disagreement with the policy.
Head of Bulgaria’s Anti-corruption Commission Resigns
The head of Bulgaria's anti-corruption commission, Plamen Georgiev, resigned. This was announced by the Speaker of Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, on July 31. For the time being, there is no information about the motives.
Georgiev on April 4 took leave following the start of a check ordered by the chief prosecutor into property acquisitions by top officials, including him.
The NRA Director Won't Resign
The director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) Galya Dimitrova will not resign due to the leakage of data from the information arrays of the revenue administration, which affected more than 5 million Bulgarian citizens.

The TAD GROUP Owner Is Currently Searched for in the Schengen Area
The TAD GROUP owner Ivan Todorov is being searched for in the Schengen area, NOVA TV reported. Ivan Todorov is accused of instigating the of personal data leak from the NRA which affected millions of Bulgarians.
He said he could not say for sure whether the incident was the result of an attack on the part of the competition.
