Niagara Falls Illuminated in Colors of Bulgarian Tricolor to Mark Country’s National Liberation Day

At exactly 5 am on March 3 morning Niagara Falls was illuminated in white, green and red on the occasion of the National Day of Bulgaria. Hundreds watched this amazing sight on the spot, and on the Internet they were thousands from all over the world.

Bulgarians Mark the Anniversary of the Hanging of National Hero Vasil Levski: 148 Years

Bulgaria worships the memory of the Apostle of Freedom. We celebrate 148 years since the hanging of Vasil Levski. This year, because of the pandemic, the ceremony will be different and there will be no politicians.

Throughout the day in front of the Monument to the Apostle there will be an honor guard from the National Guard.

Reddit user wandreylust caught this amazing error on Facebook and had to give it a try. As of this writing, if you ask Apple's voice assistant, "What is the national anthem of Bulgaria?", you'll get the result, "The national anthem of Bulgaria is Despacito."

Bulgarian Archaeologists Discover 11th Century Rakia Distillation Vessel

Bulgarian archaeologists recently discovered an 11th century fragment of a distillation vessel used for the production of the country's traditional fruit brandy, which is known as rakia.

The fragment was uncovered during the excavation works, which are being conducted by the National Historical Museum (NIM) at the medieval Lyutitsa fortress.
