Poland to take charge of NATO high readiness force
The Polish army will take charge of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), said the organization in a statement on Dec. 30.
Poland will take over the duty from Germany on Jan.1, 2020 and will hand over to Turkey in 2021.

NATO head says alliance to more than double size of rapid response force
NATO head Jens Stoltenberg said June 22 the alliance will approve plans this week to more than double the size of its rapid response force, having already created a special spearhead unit in the fallout from the Ukraine crisis.
