Davenport: Serbia-NATO partnership the right approach
BELGRADE - It is for Serbia to determine its policy towards NATO, and the partnership approach is the right one, the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Michael Davenport, said Monday.
Serbia has made the strategic choice about heading towards the EU, as reaffirmed multiple times, but we have also seen an evolution of Serbia's approach towards partnership with NATO, said Davenport.
Milic expects message of consensus about recent past
BELGRADE - The director of the Centre for Euro-Atlantic Studies Jelena Milic said Monday she expected the Belgrade NATO Week conference to send a message of consensus about the recent past to make possible the planning of the future in mutual interest.

BELGRADE - Serbia has achieved progress in nearly all areas of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) with NATO, Brigadier General Slobodan Joksimovic from the Strategic Planning Department of the Serbian Ministry of Defence said Monday.

Croatia Joins Regional 'Special Operations' Air Force
The Croatian defence ministry said on Tuesday that it had begun to set up a joint special air force with Slovenia, Hungary and Bulgaria, sponsored by NATO's Special Operations Headquarters and the US.
The new joint force could be used for special missions to fight terrorism or evacuate troops from potential hostile territory in northern Africa or the Mediterranean, it said.

BELGRADE - A two-day international conference will begin in Belgrade Monday as part of the 4th Belgrade NATO Week, organised by the Centre for Euro-Atlantic Studies (CEAS).

U.S. ambassador: Serbia is under no obligation to join NATO
U.S. Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott has reiterated that Serbia is under to obligation to to become a member of NATO, Tanjug is reporting.
He added that this military organization "never pressured any country to become a member."

Stoltenberg: Serbia exporter of stability, we regret victims' deaths
BRUSSELS - Serbia is an exporter of stability in the region, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said after a meeting with Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic Wednesday.
NATO respects Serbia's military neutrality, Stoltenberg said, expressing regret over the deaths of the victims of NATO's 1999 air campaign, when it bombed the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Vucic to meet with Stoltenberg Wednesday
BRUSSELS - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic will meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the alliance's Brussels headquarters on Wednesday.
Vucic will also meet with North Atlantic Council representatives, the alliance has announced.
In a statement submitted to Tanjug last month, NATO said it fully respected Serbia's policy of military neutrality.
