There are 456 million hectares of urban agricultural farms in and around cities in the world. This is an area as large as the European Union. About 67 million hectares of that number are inside cities, and the remaining surround to cities.

Urban Waste in Albania 'a Danger to Health'
Albania's Institute of Public Health, ISHP is raising an alarm about the way urban waste is being managed, uring local governments to improve the condition of public waste containers and raise their hygienic standards.
A study published this week by ISHP gathered data from eight years, from 2005 to 2012, to shed light on the sanitation and hygiene situation of urban waste management.

Delegates at Climate Change Conference Reach Draft Agreement
The delegates at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21), which is taking place in Paris between November 30 and December 11, managed to reach a draft agreement.
The delegates hope that the draft text could serve as the basis of an agreement to curb global carbon emissions.
