EU and UK to Begin Trade Negotiations in March

The United Kingdom and the European Union will begin negotiations on their future trade relations on March 3, according to the Guardian.

According to the publication, the negotiating groups, which will continue to be led by David Frost of the British side and Michel Barnier of the European Union, have a difficult task of finalizing the discussions by December 31st this year.

Boris Johnson: After Brexit We will Put People before Passports

British Prime Minister Boris Jonson has stated that the immigration system after Brexit will put "people before passports"  and will be able to "attract the best talent from around the world, wherever they may be," he said.

This happened at the UK-Africa Investment Summit. Earlier it was announced that the UK will introduce a points based system lite the one in Australia.

Brexit: MEPs are Concerned about Citizens' Rights

MEPs confirmed to Horizon the European Parliament's readiness to approve the Brexit Agreement on January 29th. This is expected to happen at a parliament session in Brussels.

The deal was approved by the British Parliament on January 10th. Under the terms of the agreement, Britain is due to leave the EU on January 31st.

UK lower chamber passes EU withdrawal bill

The U.K. House of Commons on Jan. 9 approved the EU Withdrawal Bill after its final reading, paving the way for full legislation.

The bill based on Prime Minister Boris Johnson's revised deal was passed by MPs in a 330 to 231 votes with a majority of 99.

It is expected to complete the House of Lords stages without major disagreements and to wait for Royal assent to become law.
