Skopje Mayor: We have Nothing to do with Alexander the Great
Macedonian capital Mayor Petre Shilegov is convinced that authorities in the Republic of Macedonia and Greece want to resolve the dispute over the name of the country.
"It is much better to solve the problems than to ignore them, I personally, but also Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, want to solve rather than create problems," Shilegov told the Greek Documentem agency.

The government is obviously not interested in solving problems, only in appearing to do so and scoring points against the opposition.

Opiate production in Afghanistan has risen by 90% and reached a record 9,000 tonnes in 2017, according to the UN. Executive Director of the United Nations Drugs and Crime Unit, Yuri Fedotov, announced these figures at a session of the UN Security Council on Afghanistan.
Older People Should Play Video Games
Canadian scientists have found that video games improve memory and brain activity in elderly people, Life magazine said.
For the study, 33 people aged 55 to 75 were selected. They were divided into three groups on equal terms - the participants in the first played the Super Mario video game, in the second played the piano, and in the third did not do any entertainment activities.

EU Officials Accused of Selling Illegal Alcohol in Afghanistan
EU officials in Kabul, whose nationality is not specified, are accused of selling alcohol to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan where it is forbidden, the EU said on Sunday, quoted by the France.
Alcohol smuggling gang unraveled
Police in Piraeus say they have unraveled a gang that smuggled large quantities of alcohol from European Union countries and other areas to Greece.
It said on Thursday that it has arrested three people - two aged 45 and another 55 - and is looking for another three suspects - 66, 30 and 34.

Police fine two people for drinking alcohol on public beach in northern Turkey
Police fined two people for drinking beer on a public beach in the northern province of Zonguldak on Sept. 13.
The incident occurred at the province's Kapuz Beach, where an unidentified 32-year-old medical doctor arrived with her colleague to swim.
The Ministry of Interior Reinforces the Control of Drivers under the Influence of Drugs
The Ministry of the Interior has announced a public procurement contract for the purchase of 4165 cartridges for small-scale devices to check the use of drugs by drivers. Reports Sega.
The value of the order is over BGN 115 000 without VAT. 2000 cartridges have to be delivered to the Traffic Police authorities within 60 days of the conclusion of the contract.
