Albanian media report on corruption on a daily basis but the vast majority of this coverage is centred on press conferences by government institutions and exchanges of accusations between local political parties, says the new monitoring report published by BIRN Albania.

Novinite is publishing a report by Anna Bashuk, a third-year Journalism student at the American University in Bulgaria, about an exhibition that is currently on display in the city of Blagoevgrad (where the university is based).

"We are very happy that the media are our very, very passionate partner in bringing the awareness in our Bulgarian society, which awareness is saying 'No' to the institutionalization of children," Ivanka Shalapatova, Executive Director of For Our Children foundation, has said, accepting her award in the Charity section of the 2014 Personality in the News contest conducted by Novinite.com.  

The circulation of most of Romania's daily newspapers and weeklies continued to fall in the last quarter of 2014, as the country struggles with the economic downturn and a crisis in the newspaper industry continues.

Romania's National News Agency AGERPRES on Monday in Baku signed a memorandum of understanding on news exchange with the AzerTAc news agency of Azerbaijan.

Signing the document on behalf of AzerTAc was its General Director Aslan Aslanov, while AGERPRES General Director Alexandu Giboi signed on behalf of AGERPRES.

March 1 marks the celebration of 95 years since the establishment of AzerTAc, the official Azerbaijan state news agency.

The German Journalists Association (Verband der Journalisten der DDR, abbreviated VDJ)  and many an Internet users are in uproar against German tabloid Bild’s unprovoked anti-Greek campaign.
