Vucic: We will get 430 mln euros from EU for Nis-Dimitrovgrad rail line, bypass

PIROT - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday Serbia would get more EU funds - around 430 mln euros - for a project to reconstruct and modernise a Nis-Dimitrovgrad rail line and build a railway bypass around Nis.

Vucic was inspecting works on the Pirot-Sukovo section of the route.

Vucic: Serbia to always safeguard its neutrality, protect its people, skies

NIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday Serbia would always safeguard its military neutrality as well as protect its people and its skies.

"We will have sufficient capabilities for that, always enough leading-edge arms and always enough brave hearts," Vucic said in an address in Nis, where he attended a display of Serbian Armed Forces arms and military equipment.

Brnabic: Philip Morris to invest additional 100 mln dollars in Serbia

NIS - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Wednesday announced a new 100 mln dollar Philip Morris investment in Serbia that will create 200 jobs in Nis.

Brnabic made the announcement at a ceremony that marked 20 years since the privatisation of the Nis Tobacco Industry, acquired by Philip Morris in 2003.

Djedovic, Hristov discuss cooperation on natural gas supplies

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic met with Bulgarian Energy Minister Rosen Hristov on Tuesday to discuss the progress of works to build a Serbia-Bulgaria gas interconnection as well as opportunities for further advancement of regional cooperation when it comes to natural gas supplies.

Mali meets with Pavlova

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President for the Western Balkans Lilyana Pavlova agreed on Thursday joint projects were progressing well and were being carried out without problems.

Mali and Pavlova discussed projects underway in Serbia in collaboration with the EIB and the dynamics of their implementation.
