SNFCC to host Green Deal Greece conference
The Lighthouse venue at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens will host the Green Deal Greece conference on November 2.
Organized by the Technical Chamber of Greece and the economix.gr website, the event is titled "The Resilience of Infrastructures and Regions, Today and Tomorrow: Challenges, threats and opportunities toward the green reform."

AMKA | Athens | October 8
AMKA met in Groningen in the Netherlands, where they were studying at a jazz conservatory, and got together as a band in 2018. Comprising three Greeks and a British singer, they recorded their first tracks at Dudu Loft in Athens, drawing influences from punk, krautrock, noise, disco, jazz and pop sounds.

The call is about a blaze in brushland in the East Attica town of Keratea that may not be threatening houses but has the fire service on alert.

Mobile health units reach most remote corners of the country
The Primary Healthcare - Mobile Medical Units program for remote islands and areas throughout Greece has undoubtedly been a success story. The program is run by the University of Athens in collaboration with Health Units SA and implemented by the NGO Renaissance and Progress and with the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
Fighting the stigma of mental illness
Up close, Glenn Close exudes on the one hand the stately air of a big screen star and on the other that unique simplicity that characterizes most of her American colleagues. The award-winning actress was in Athens recently to take part in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation's SNF Nostos conference, which this year was dedicated to mental health.
