Greece, Cyprus and Israel sign EastMed deal

Greece, Israel and Cyprus have signed a deal for an undersea pipeline designed to carry gas from offshore deposits in the southeastern Mediterranean to continental Europe.
The deal was signed during a ceremony at Zappeion Hall by the three countries' energy ministers, Costis Hatzidakis, Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and Yuval Steinitz.

Mitsotakis, Netanyahu meet in Athens

Greece, Israel and Cyprus to Sign Pipeline Agreement

EastMed Intergovernmental Agreement to be signed in Athens today between Greece's Energy Ministers Kostis Hatzidakis, Israel's Yuval Steinitz and Cyprus's George Lakkotrypis, in the presence of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.

Italy fully backs EastMed

On Thursday, Cyprus, Greece and Israel will sign, in Athens, an Intergovernmental Agreement on building the EastMed natural gas pipeline, and Italy's Minister for Economic Development Stefano Patuanelli, whose portfolio includes Energy, has sent a letter of support for the project to his Greek counterpart, Environment and Energy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis.

Greece, Israel, Cyprus to sign pipeline deal Jan. 2

The leaders of Cyprus, Greece and Israel plan to sign an agreement early in the new year for the building of the Eastern Mediterranean natural gas pipeline, the Greek prime minister's office announced Sunday.

The agreement will be signed in Athens on Jan. 2 by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
