Nicosia eyes fresh round of talks, FM tells Kathimerini

Cyprus hopes to restart reunification talks that fell apart in July 2017 at the Swiss resort of Crans-Montana, the island country's Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides said in an interview with Kathimerini on Sunday, adding however that a fresh round of negotiations can only take place after a Turkish commitment to refrain from "violations and provocations" in the region.

Cyprus 'golden passports' to be revoked if wrongdoing found

Cyprus' president is pledging to revoke any passports that were "mistakenly" granted to wealthy investors who were found to have committed wrongdoing.

President Nicos Anastasiades says "errors" may have been made in granting such "golden passports" under an earlier, less-strict version of a lucrative investment program.

Anastasiades says Nicosia will ‘not waver under threats’

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has said the Mediterranean island will "not waver under threats" and continue efforts to reach a peace settlement.
"We will not waver under threats and we will continue to fight for the issue," Anastasiades said after being awarded with an honorary law degree from the Law School of Thessaloniki's Aristotle University on Thursday.
