Green Deal can create EU-Turkey cooperation: Official

The Green Deal, a set of policy initiatives by the European Commission to make Europe climate neutral by 2050, can create cooperation between the EU and Turkey to work towards same objectives, according to an official.

Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, said Ankara has taken a major step by ratifying the Paris Agreement.

EU renews refugee support to Turkey

The European Union's move to extend its support to the Syrian refugees in Turkey is a blatant message that the bloc will continue to back the efforts of the Turkish people in dealing with around four millions refugees on their land, the European envoy to Turkey has said, reiterating that the new financial package will be implemented in coordination with the Turkish government.

EU envoy to Turkey visits famed Göbeklitepe site

The head of a EU delegation to Turkey visited the famed ancient site of Göbeklitepe on May 27. 

Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut said as part of his visit to southeastern Şanlıurfa province that he was happy to be in the cradle of humanity in Göbeklitepe - known as the world's oldest temple and listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
