Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias met with visiting US Senators Jerry Moran and John Hoeven on Friday.

Posting on X, Dendias noted that they "exchanged views on the situation in Israel after Hamas' terrorist attack, and recent developments in Ukraine and Eastern Mediterranean."

After jointly attending the humanitarian conference convened by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides returned to Athens for the inaugural Greece-Cyprus High-Level Cooperation Council. The Council is scheduled to commence at 12 p.m., with joint press statements to follow.

Defense Minister Nikos Dendias has stressed the need for an upgrade of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (EAV), which he said "has been absolutely problematic for decades."

On the occasion of Ochi Day, commemorating Greece's defiance to Italy's Benito Mussolini in 1940, Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said the country is ready, "with full awareness of its historical responsibility, to restate the 'no' to any attempt to challenge its national sovereignty and sovereign rights."

Greece said on Friday that there are no plans in the imminent future for a meeting in Athens between the Greek and Turkish defense ministers, Nikos Dendias and Yasar Guler, respectively, adding that there has not been a relevant invitation.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has attended religious services for the day of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary on the island of Tinos.

Accompanying him were Defense Minister Nikos Dendias and Chief of the General Staff General Konstantinos Floros.

A model of cooperation between Greece and Israel in the field of research and development in the defense industry, based on financial instruments and innovation structures already in place on both sides, was discussed on Monday in Tel Aviv by the two countries' defense ministers, Nikos Dendias and Yoav Gallant.

To this end, Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias visited Tel Aviv on Monday and met with his counterpart Yoav Gallant.

Dendias met with his Israeli counterpart Yoav Gallant. Following their meeting the two ministers participated in bilateral talks between the two countries' delegations that focused on further strengthening the Greece-Israel collaboration in the defense sector.
