British Museum rejects request for Unesco mediation on Parthenon Marbles
The British Museum has turned down a request by Greek authorities for a process of mediation, facilitated by Unesco, on the subject of the Parthenon Marbles that are currently on display in London.
Athens Acropolis, govt wants to make it even better
Alternate Culture Minister Nikos Xydakis visited the archeological site of the Athens Acropolis to meet with staff and technicians involved in restoration work on the monument.
Xydakis also visited the souvenir shop, ticket office and wheelchair access elevator.

Prosecutor orders probe into polytechnic graffiti
First instance prosecutor Ilias Zagoraios on Monday ordered an urgent preliminary investigation into a large black-and-white piece of graffiti covering certain exterior walls of the National Technical University of Athens.
While it was still unknown who had carried out the act, Zagoraios suggested that those responsible should face charges of vandalizing a public monument.

Greek Justice Minister met with French officials to discuss justice in the EU
Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos met on Friday with Jean-Louis Debre, the president of France's Constitutional Council, and Jean Loup Kuhn-Delforge, France's ambassador to Greece. They discussed the operation of Justice across Europe. Amongst matters discussed, were the overcrowding of Greek prisons and the slow administration of justice.
