Naukratis, a small town on the Nile Delta in Egypt, is emerging as a major Greek trading hub following excavations by the British Museum. Dr. Ross Thomas told British newspaper, Guardian, that the ancient city of Naukratis (meaning “mistress of ship”) was the “Hong Kong of its era”.

A rare, 2,000-year-old New Testament manuscript has been discovered on eBay by Geoffrey Smith, a scholar of early Christianity at the University of Texas, and the starting bid for the manuscript was at just $99.
“I thought, ‘This can’t be allowed to sell on eBay. It will just disappear into a private collection.”, Mr. Smith said.

Sound Bombs Tossed in Cairo Metro, No Injuries or Damage
Unidentified suspects threw sound bombs in two metro stations in Cairo on Tuesday, causing no damage or injuries, MENA news agency reported.
The explosive devices were tossed onto metro tracks in Sayeda Zeinab and Zahraa El-Maadi stations.
Morsi’s fugitive son arrested to be jailed for drug use
