The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has stopped its protest, and weather forecasts for the media have been restored, BNT reported.

The director of the institute, Prof. Hristomir Branzov, explained that the reason was that their protest was beginning to become politicized.

Code Yellow warning for hot weather has been issued for the whole country, according to the website of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). In most areas, the temperatures will exceed 36C. This level of warning indicates possible health problems for vulnerable and sick people, seniors and children.

Sofia. The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), the trade union and the Ministry of Education and Science have signed an agreement to ensure NIMH's normal operation until it is separated from the Academy, BAS said.
