There will be four phases to the new bad weather that began late Friday night in Greecey. It has already snowed in the north of Attica, in the Hippocratic State, while the first villages in Evia and the mountains of Lesbos were dressed in white.

Greece is bracing for severe weather as the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY) warns of heavy rain, snow, and gale-force winds from Saturday onward. 

This marks a significant escalation from Friday's conditions, where storms began to ease in most areas.

The National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued an updated weather warning on Friday, forecasting a new wave of severe weather starting Saturday.

While rainfall and snowfall are expected to ease in most areas on Friday, conditions will worsen across eastern Greece by Saturday.

A small “break” is expected today from the storm Elena, which caused significant issues in Attica and Evia. However, starting tomorrow, the weather is expected to worsen again, bringing a further drop in temperatures, stronger northerly winds, and snowfall, even in Attica.

A winter scene is set to unfold from Friday evening, according to meteorologist Klearhos Marousakis, who detailed in a post how the weather system following “Elena” will progress.

According to meteorologists, intense phenomena are expected, with snowfall, strong winds and storms in many areas of Greece.

This weekend, Bulgaria is expected to experience snow and ice, with temperatures hovering around freezing. Today, the western and central parts of the country will see more sunshine, while significant cloud cover will dominate Eastern Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 3°C and 8°C, with the southwestern regions reaching up to 11°C and Sofia around 3°C.

On December 2, Bulgaria will experience varying weather conditions across different regions. Light snow is expected in the Pre-Balkan areas, with precipitation gradually easing in Southwestern Bulgaria. Skies will remain partly cloudy, accompanied by a mild to moderate north-northeasterly wind.

On November 30, much of Bulgaria will experience cloudy weather, with rain expected across Western and Central regions. In the Forebalkan area, rain will transition into snow, while Southwestern Bulgaria is likely to see significant precipitation. Temperatures will range from 2°C to 7°C, reaching 8°C to 13°C in Eastern Bulgaria and around 3°C in Sofia.
