Cunda Island declared ‘strictly protected area’
Cunda Island, a natural protected area, has been declared as a "sensitive area to be strictly protected" after reevaluation of its status, according to the decision published in the Official Gazette on April 13.

Dendias: Greece, Turkey to re-examine relations after elections
Greece and Turkey will have the opportunity to reassess what unites them after the elections that are scheduled to take place in both countries in May, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said on Friday, during a visit to the island of Imvros in Turkey.
FM Dendias to visit Imvros island on Holy Friday
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will visit the island of Imvros in Turkey on Holy Friday.
The minister is scheduled to visit the Metropolitan Church of Imvros & Tenedos upon his arrival, before going to the village of Agoi Theodoroi where he will meet with Greek expatriates.

Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew and Greece's Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis attended a mass held in the Church of St. Trifonos on the Gökçeada (Imbros) island of the northwestern province of Çanakkale on Feb. 1.
The church, located on Turkey's biggest island and which is also Bartholomew's homeland, was restored and opened to worship on Aug. 9, 2021, after 55 years.
