Greece’s islands are the best holiday destination in the world for those who prefer to travel alone, according to a recent survey conducted by Solitair Holidays.

A survey has revealed that the United States is the top of the list for preferred holiday destinations of Turks.
According to the survey, conducted by DORinsight, a Turkish research and analyst company, 11.6 percent of the participants chose the U.S. as their preferred vacation spot, followed by Italy with 10.4 percent, the Maldives with 6.1 percent and Spain with 5.6 percent.

Riots between immigrants and Spanish police break out (vid)
The immigration crisis in Greece has been the focus of global media attention since July, when swelling numbers of refugees from war-torn Syria and illegal immigrants from the wider Middle East region landed on Greek islands. However, other European countries in the Western Mediterranean are also coming under pressure.

Mediterranean energy demand 'to rise by 50 pct'

Eight-year-old smuggled to Spain in suitcase
Police found an eight-year-old Ivorian boy hidden in a suitcase that was smuggled across the border into Spanish territory in north Africa, an official said on May 8.
A 19-year-old woman took the case through a pedestrian crossing from Morocco into the small Spanish-governed territory of Ceuta on May 7, a spokesman for the Civil Guard police force said.
