Weather turning on Thursday, rain and winds expected
The unseasonably high temperatures of the past few days are to drop from Thursday with the General Secretariat for Civil Protection warning of heavy rainfall, storms, strong winds and hailstorms in parts as of Thursday.
The wet front is forecast to begin in western, central and northern Greece from the early afternoon.

Judicial authorities in northern port city of Thessaloniki on Wednesday launched a preliminary investigation into possible medical negligence in the death by Covid-19 of a 35-year-old man last month.
Curfew violations totalled 1,113 on Thursday
Police on Friday announced that there were 1,113 recorded violations of the lockdown imposed to stop the spread of the new coronavirus throughout Greece on Thursday, while there were seven arrests for the illegal operation of shops and other businesses.

Community in northern Greece placed in lockdown due to Covid-19
The village community of Echinos in the regional unit of Thrace, northern Greece, was placed on lockdown as of Wednesday afternoon after health authorities recorded an unusually high number of coronavirus infections.

Lies and half-truths
What do the Prespes agreement, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Boris Johnson have in common? They are all involved with nationalism, populism, lies, half-truths and illegality. The rallying cry for nationalist opposition to Prespes, "Macedonia is Greek," was a half-truth. Half of Macedonia is certainly Greek. The other half is Macedonian.

Greek man wanted in Germany over 15.3-million-euro fraud
A 50-year-old Greek man who was arrested in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on Tuesday is wanted by German authorities for allegedly defrauding investors of some 15.3 million euros.
