Akkuyu second unit to be built in 2020 first quarter
The construction of the second unit of Turkey's Akkuyu nuclear power plant may start in the first quarter of 2020, Russia's atomic energy corporation Rosatom's Director General Alexey Likhachev has said.

Incident at Kozloduy NPP - 2 People were Killed
Two workers were killed and two others were injured on December 16 in an incident at the construction site of a radioactive waste storage facility near Kozloduy NPP. One of the injured was transported to the hospital in Pleven, the other was examined and is already home.
The incident has nothing to do with radioactive and radiation safety. It is an incident at a construction site.

55 Nuclear Reactors Are under Construction in the World
In 2018, the nuclear power generated 2563 terawatt hours of electricity worldwide, which is up with 61 terawatt hours from a year earlier, according to the World Nuclear Association (WNA) Annual Nuclear Performance Report 2019.
The report will be formally presented and discussed during the WNA Symposium 2019 international event in London on September 5-6.
