Hungary to Veto EU Nuclear Sanctions against Russia

Ukraine has called on the EU to include Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom in the sanctions, but Hungary, home to a Russian-built nuclear power plant that it plans to expand with Rosatom's help, has blocked that.
Push to build second nuclear reactor by 2035
While a decision on a new nuclear reactor in Slovenia is still pending, it could be built and running by 2035 if things proceed without hiccups, according to a senior official of Gen Energija, the company which manages Slovenia's only nuclear power station in Krško.

Nuclear fuel mock-ups sent to Akkuyu
Rosatom has announced that it manufactured and dispatched a shipment of nuclear fuel mock-ups for the first unit of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant.
The fuel dummies are shipped together with mock-ups of control rods and tools for incoming inspections of nuclear fuel, the Russian company said in a statement.

Slovenian govt refutes Russian dirty bomb tweet
Ljubljana/Moscow, 26 October – The Slovenian government has responded to a Russian Foreign Ministry tweet featuring a photo from Slovenia alongside a warning that Ukraine was preparing to use a so called dirty bomb by stressing that radioactive waste in Slovenia is stored safely, is under supervision and is not used for dirty bombs.
