Travelling on the section of the Surcin-Obrenovac highway will be free of charge.

"103 kilometers long highway section will be released for traffic on August 18, from Obrenovac to Cacak. Corridor 11 is highly significant for our citizens, as we will finally bypass the Ibar Highway, providing a much safer road to our citizens", Minister Mihajlovic said for Happy TV, the Ministry reports.

China Road and Bridge Corporation eyes new Serbia projects

The Serbian government announced that the meeting focused on the implementation of the company's current projects in Serbia, as well as future infrastructure projects.

Mihajlovic, who is minister of infrastructure, construction, and transport, emphasized that CRBC is meeting all its contractual and quality obligations in Serbia, while respecting deadlines and standards.

Chinese pick Serbia over Poland to build new factory

According to Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, this investment is worth about 100 million euros.

As announced, works to build the new plant will start at the end of February or early March.

According to Mali, the new, 55,000-square meter premises will be built by September or October, while the existing and the new plant will employ a total of 2,500 workers.
