Some 788,000 visited Çamlıca Tower in 15 months: Minister

A total of 788,241 people have visited the Çamlıca Tower, a telecommunications tower with observation decks and restaurants, in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, since its official opening in May 2021, the country's transport and infrastructure minister has said.

"The tower hosted 455,945 people between Jan. 1 and Aug. 20, 2022," Adil Karaismailoğlu said in a written statement on Aug. 21.

Tokyo sky decks offer fresh perspective

The seemingly endless sprawl of Tokyo can be hard to take in from the ground. But sky-high observation decks dotted across the Japanese capital offer a fresh perspective.

Among the most popular are the two decks at the Tokyo Skytree, the tallest structure in Japan, which attracted an average of 4.5 million visitors a year before the pandemic.

Glass Viewing Platform in China Wins Guinness Record

The glass viewing platform in Huangshi Hubei province entered the Guinness Book of Records as the largest glass platform.

Located in the "Sky City" landmark, which opened doors for visitors on Jan. 26th, the platform was named "Sky mirror". It was built with 500 tons of steel and 1,500 square feet of glass, the largest piece of glass is 18 square meters.
