Athens Festival to donate proceeds to fire victims

The board of the Athens & Epidaurus Festival announced on Thursday it will donate 20,000 euros to those affected by the devastating wildfires in Attica along with the proceeds from a special concert it will hold on August 29.

The concert, which will be held at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, will be organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.

Sofia Pride 2018 for a Dignified and Open Life

Today Sofia Pride 2018 will be held under the motto "LGBTI people should lead a dignified life and be able to express themselves openly".

The program will begin with a concert at the Soviet Army Monument at 16:00, then a procession will start at 19:00. The concert and the procession are expected to take place under enhanced security measures.

Roman Odeon of Kos to be used to house refugees

The Central Archaeological Council that stands as the country’s highest advisory body on Greece’s cultural heritage made an unprecedented decision to allow the use of the Roman Odeon of Kos as a temporary accommodation shelter for refugees and migrants in the area. The decision came after a  request by Doctors Without Borders.
