Athena Onassis de Miranda, the French-Greek heiress of the Onassis fortune and the only surviving descendant of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis has pretty much abandoned Greece after marrying Brazilian Olympic showjumper Alvaro de Miranda Neto in 2005. This, of course, comes as no surprise as she had stated that she felt “great aversion to anything Greek” from a young age.

Russian tycoon Dmitry Rybolovlev, owner of Skorpios island, was started by reports that state that the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government banned the free passage of vessels around Skorpios in order to fulfil his wishes.

The “Left” government of Alexis Tsipras fulfilled the wishes of the Russian tycoon, Dmitry Rybolovlev, and banned the free passage of any vessel in the sea area of Skorpios island.

Skorpios island was bought by Rybolovlev as a gift for her daughter’s birthday.

Elena Rybolevla, the former wife of Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolevlev, was detained and subsequently conditionally released in Cyprus on Monday in connection to the alleged theft of a diamond ring estimated to be worth 25 million euros.
