Two PKK/YPG members have been caught while trying to illegally cross into Türkiye from Syria, the Defense Ministry has announced.

In a post on its social media account, the ministry informed that the apprehended were members of the PKK/KCK and its Syrian offshoot, PYD/YPG.

"Our struggle for the security of our borders continues with determination," it added.

A regime change in Syria through a planned transition process, which envisages elections and a new constitution, is required for a political solution in the country, Syrian Turkmen Assembly Chair Mehmet Türkhan said on March 13.

Nine ISIL members, who were identified as seeking action in Türkiye, were arrested in an operation organized in Syria's al-Bab region with the coordination of the southeastern province of Gaziantep gendarmerie, the Interior Ministry has announced.

The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has brought Burhan Piçak, who was leading PKK/KCK's "assassination unit," to Türkiye in the operation carried out in northern Iraq.

Piçak, code-named Canşer/Laşer, was determined to cross into Syria from the southeastern province of Diyarbakır's Lice district in 2015 and join the PKK.

Nejdet Dağlarer, codenamed "Geli Serhat," was monitored for a while due to his activities in Türkiye and his actions against the Turkish army by the MİT.

Turkish security forces have neutralized seven PKK terrorists in the Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Claw-Lock zones, the Defense Ministry has announced.

In a social media post, the ministry informed that four PKK terrorists were neutralized in the Operation Claw-Lock zone in Iraq's north.

A total of 26 PKK/YPG terrorists who were preparing to attack the Operation Peace Spring and Operation Euphrates Shield zones have been neutralized, the Defense Ministry has announced.

"Eighteen PKK/YPG terrorists have been neutralized by our Turkish Armed Forces in the Euphrates Shield zone," the ministry said in a social media post.

A Turkish soldier has died as one of the army's helicopters has suffered an accident during a military operation in northern Iraq, the Defense Ministry has announced.

The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT), has neutralized two more PKK terrorists in the last incident of the surgical attack series in northern Iraq, İhlas News Agency has reported.

"Two terrorists were neutralized in the Asos region of the Sulaymaniyah province," the agency wrote.

A total of six PKK/YPG terrorists have been neutralized in the Operation Euphrates Shield zone, the Turkish Defense Ministry has announced.

"There is no escape from the end that awaits them for the terrorists. The operations will continue without any interruption," the ministry said in a social media post.
