Two rockets late on March 25 struck Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone, which houses government buildings and foreign missions, but there were no casualties, the Iraqi military said.

"Two Katyusha rockets fell near Baghdad operation command. Details to follow," the military statement said.

At least five katyusha rockets landed in the heavily fortified Green Zone in Iraq's capital, some of which directly struck the U.S. embassy, caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi said early on Jan. 27.

Two rockets were fired into Baghdad's fortified Green Zone on Oct. 30, killing one Iraqi soldier and adding to the violence gripping the country amid unprecedented anti-government protests and a violent security crackdown.
