The Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced that Turkish citizens who wish to travel to Egypt will now be able to obtain a visa on arrival without any process in advance.

"Our citizens who travel to Egypt will be able to obtain their visas from the Egyptian border gates from now on," said a ministry statement on May 2.

Turkish and Egyptian top diplomats, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Sameh Shoukry, will have another meeting for the normalization of the ties in Ankara on April 13 with expectations that they will announce when the two nations will exchange ambassadors.

They highlight plans to supply Russia with artillery ammunition.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reportedly ordered the production and shipment of the weapons, despite Egypt being one of America's closest allies in the Middle East.
According to leaked U.S. data, the secret delivery of 40,000 missiles to Russia is planned, the Washington Post writes.

Ankara and Cairo will raise diplomatic relations to the highest level "as soon as possible," Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on March 18, noting that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, could meet after the elections in Türkiye as part of efforts to end of a decade of estrangement between the two countries.

Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos is paying an official visit to Egypt from Thursday to Saturday.

In Cairo, Panagiotopoulos WILL meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and then with his Egyptian counterpart, General Mohamed Zaki.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, to discuss developments in the East Mediterranean and Turkish aggression, as part of the government's diplomatic efforts.

Later, he also spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. 

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will take part today in the official opening of the new Egyptian Berenice Naval Base on the Red Sea coast.

President Klaus Iohannis welcomed on Wednesday at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who is on an official visit to Romania. Egypt's head of state was welcomed with a military ceremony.

President Rumen Radev and his delegation headed to an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The invitation to the Bulgarian head of state is by Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi.
 

Turkey criticised European Union leaders on Tuesday for attending a summit hosted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi days after nine men were executed for killing Egypt's chief prosecutor.
