SOCAR signals potential cooperation with Turkish Petroleum in Black Sea
Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) could work together in field development and production of Turkey's giant gas discovery in the Black Sea, Vagif Aliyev, deputy chairman of SOCAR Turkey told reporters.
SOCAR has been investing and collaborating with Turkish Petroleum Corporation since 1994.
Biden, Putin handshake kicks off Geneva summit
Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin kicked off their summit Wednesday with a handshake outside the Geneva villa where the two presidents plan to confront each other over the worst U.S.-Russia tensions in years.
Following an introduction by their host, Swiss President Guy Parmelin, Biden extended his arm for his first handshake with Putin since taking office in January.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on April 5 spoke to Jordan's King Abdullah II over phone, according to the Turkish Presidency.
"Turkey-Jordan relations and regional issues were discussed during the call," it said in a statement on Twitter.
Turkey expresses concern over Jordan's arrests of ex-officials
Turkey on April 4 expressed concern over April 3's arrests of the former head of the Jordanian Royal Court as well as other former officials for "security reasons."
"We do not see the stability and calm of Jordan, a country that is key to peace in the Middle East, as separate from Turkey's stability and calm," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
