The local community of Vartholomio, Ilia in southern Greece is reeling in horror and disgust at the abominable images posted online of dead dogs and cats that ingested poison placed by an unknown perpetrator.

Australian rangers find ‘monster’ 2.7 kg cane toad
Australian rangers have killed an invasive "monster" cane toad discovered in the wilds of a coastal park, a warty brown specimen as long as a human arm and weighing 2.7 kilograms.
The toad was spotted after a snake slithering across a track forced wildlife workers to stop as they were driving in Queensland's Conway National Park, the state government said.

Strong Wind in Sofia broke Tree Branches in Several Areas
In several places in Sofia, there are fallen branches of trees due to the strong wind. This was announced by the Ministry of the Interior for the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
The Ministry of the Interior specified that there are fallen tree branches on the tram line on the capital's "James Boucher" boulevard.

More than 200 bears culled in 2022
Slovenia has one the largest brown bear populations in Europe and it is not uncommon to spot one walking in the woods or even in settled areas. Like the wolf and the lynx, the brown bear is a protected species, but the population is managed by culling. Last year, 206 bears were culled.

3 dogs mothering 52 abandoned puppies in shelter
Three stray dogs have fed 52 unmothered puppies in an animal shelter in the eastern province of Erzurum.
Three dogs named "Süslü," "Yumak," "Susam" who nurse the abandoned dogs brought to the shelter and 52 puppies became the center of attention of the visitors of a shelter in Erzurum.
