Organizations designated as terrorist by Canada

Turkey will play a big role in preventing the Afghan refugees from entering Europe, a top EU official said on Aug. 18.

"There will be a lot of Afghans trying to bypass Turkey for Europe. On this occasion, Turkey will play a vital role," EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell told the Spanish state radio RNE.

According to the first recordings, a group of people was shot, who spread a large Afghan flag widely. It is stated on social networks that journalists were not spared either.
The flag of Afghanistan was taken down in every place that the Taliban conquered during their short offensive on the territory of the entire country, launched at the moment when the American troops withdrew.

Ljubljana – Out of a total of three Slovenian citizens who were still in Afghanistan on Monday, two have embarked on a Qatar-bound plane from Kabul last night, while the third one has remained in Afghanistan, shows unofficial information available to the Slovenian Foreign Ministry.

At least eight PKK terrorists have been "neutralized" in northern Iraq, across the Turkish border, the National Defense Ministry said on Aug. 16.

"Number of terrorists neutralized in the operation area [northern Iraq's Metina region] increased to eight in the last 24 hours," the ministry said on Twitter, adding that operations continue with determination.

Ljubljana – The Slovenian Foreign Ministry has expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. “Violence should be ended, the civilian population, in particular women and children, should be protected, and basic human rights standards should be upheld,” the ministry said on Twitter on Monday.

The Taliban armed militia forces eye possible assault on the Afghan capital Kabul which is the last key area that still slips from their control. The government official authorities confirmed that the strategic economic centres are already under the Taliban control.

Six more PKK terrorists have surrendered to Turkish security forces, the Interior Ministry said on Aug. 11.

The terrorists joined the PKK in 2014 and 2015, and were last active in Iraq and Syria, the ministry said in a statement.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Aug. 10 said the country summoned the Swiss charge d'affaires in Ankara to protest the terrorist YPG/PKK-linked group opening an office in Geneva.
